Advancing in Bellae
We ask all beginning trainers to advance through each board one at a time in order. You will get a staff's approval when you may advance from a route or non-civilization to the next area. Civilizations may be left at any time. Backtracking may be done without staff's permission, but we do ask you make a thread for every area you venture through (it doesn't have to be long, just a good way of keeping track). Your character may not be in two places at once (except, as mentioned in the rules, the Pokemart/Pokecenter, or daycare boards), but you are free to venture through threads in an area as long as you leave the one you're currently in first- this is so people may meet up and journey together despite one starting earlier.
Basic trainers must collect the Gym Badges in order. Coordinators must get at least a 3rd place ribbon in a contest before they may advance to the next one.

If you have the HM Surf, you may travel on water. If you have the HM Fly, you may fly to other areas you have previously visited without making threads in between.
